At the 2012 Annual Meeting of the Association for Documentary Editing (ADE), the University of Virginia Press was honored with a special Resolution of Appreciation for its “leadership, vision, and vital support in the field of documentary editing.” The resolution emphasized the Press’s decades-long commitments to the Papers projects of both George Washington and James Madison and the work of its electronic imprint, Rotunda, whose publications “serve as models for all other digital editions to follow.” The entire resolution may be viewed here. Former UVa Press director Penny Kaiserlian, who retired in June, was also honored with a Distinguished Service Award. (UVA Today posted this story on the ADE honors.)
