Your Statewide Beer Crawl

When the University of Virginia Press decided it was high time we published a book on the great beer tradition in the Commonwealth, there was no better person to turn to than Mr. Virginia Beer himself, Lee Graves. Lee has authored numerous books on brewing in Virginia and for many years wrote a popular beer column for the Richmond Times-Dispatch. But above all, Lee has a genuine bond with the brewing community and is the ideal author not only to improve the reader's beer acumen but to reveal the fascinating human stories behind the state's breweries, which now number over two hundred.

Lee will be making appearances in support of his new book Virginia Beer: A Guide from Colonial Days to Craft's Golden Age at a number of breweries over the coming weeks and months. The schedule, which you can find below, constitutes a great statewide beer crawl. Please join Lee at one of his many stops for a beer and a book.
